Scholarships & Bursaries

Scholarships at Westbrook Hay - we welcome the opportunity to reward exceptional ability in the form of a scholarship. There are three types–

• Academic - where it is expected that the child has significant academic ability and will sit a scholarship examination to a Public School.
• All-rounder – where a child demonstrates an all-round ability in a combination of academic, sporting, musical , dramatic or artistic talents.
• Sports – where the child has a proven record or ability in at least two sports, from soccer, rugby, cricket, netball or hockey.

Opportunities for scholarships are available to external candidates:

• Currently in Year 2 seeking a place in Year 3
• Beyond Year 3 and seeking places to the upper school (where places allow)
• Seeking entry into Year 7 and 8.

The scholarship award varies up to a maximum of 50% of the current day fee.

Bursary - an additional category of award that is made to promising youngsters who would benefit from what Westbrook Hay has to offer, but whose parents cannot afford the fees. To ensure a degree of fairness, this award is means-tested. Application forms can be obtained by writing directly to the Headmaster. The award is dependant on the financial assistance required..
