Lucy started her working life in banking and consultancy and retrained as a science teacher after a family career break. She has taught in a number of Hertfordshire schools, with two periods of time at Westbrook Hay as a Year 3/4 form teacher and as Head of Science. In 2016, she moved to King’s College London to study for a masters, and subsequently a doctorate, in science education. She is currently a Lecturer in Chemistry Education at King’s, leading curriculum development and teaching of the chemistry PGCE course. Lucy joined the Board of Governors in 2019 and is delighted to be chairing the Education Committee, which looks at all aspects of the school’s curriculum, teaching and learning.
