After School & The School Bus Service

At Westbrook Hay we offer a complete service to parents by providing your children with activities before and after school. This has proven to be an invaluable support for our working parents.
We also offer school bus services, covering St Albans and local villages including a collection from and delivery to Hemel Hempstead train station.
Below is a list of some of the other services we provide:

Breakfast club from 7:40am (This allows working parents to drop their children off early before school. This is a fully supervised session where the children can enjoy a cooked, or continental style of breakfast.)
After school service, as detailed below.
After school activities most evenings on a Monday through to a Thursday
Tea at 6:00pm

After School Club (Lower School) :

After school is designed for working parents within lower school and is chargeable. This is pre-booked to ensure that we have sufficient staff on duty to run the sessions. Some children use the facility everyday and others use the service on an ad-hoc basis. We have a healthy tea, which is followed by fruit. After school runs till 5.50pm on Mondays to Thursdays and 5.30pm on Fridays.

Our children love after-school as we keep it fun and entertaining for them. There is a huge variety of activities for them from playing in the small world or the home corner. We have creative session with drawing, colouring and play-dough and when the weather allows us we play outside.

After School Club (Middle and Upper School)

Middle School children can stay at school on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays until 5.50pm. Afterschool is run in the Middle School. Children are supervised and have a range of activities. Collection on a Wednesday is 4.00pm, and collection on a Friday is at 4.30pm after Evensong.

The teaching day finishes slightly later in Upper School at 4.25pm and then there is an option for children to stay to do one of their preps in school. For those that need to be picked up beyond 5.15pm, the IT room is used as a base and children can be collected directly from there.
