Our Results

Westbrook Hay is very proud of the children’s academic achievement.

Common Entrance at 13+
All of our boys are prepared for common entrance at 13+. We are delighted that we continue to achieve excellent results, gaining 100% success at entrance into their first choice school at 13+.
Some senior schools require the children to sit their own entrance exams initially, and Westbrook Hay will prepare the children for those exams.

Common Entrance at 11+
The girls sit entrance exams for entry into local independent schools during Year 6. Again there was 100% success at entry into their chosen school during 2010.

Grammar School 11+ tests
Where relevant, some children are prepared for the Bucks 11+ exams. The children sit the familiarisation papers and tests at Westbrook Hay. In some cases, some of the children sit the 12+.

Key Stage Results
The focus of our academic preparation is for 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance, however our children sit the SATs papers at the end of the year. These results are for internal purposes only.

Scholarships

2010
Scholarship were awarded to four children in the 13+ entrance exams including the top academic scholarship to Berkhamsted and awards at Aldenham for both academic and sporting talent. One child achieved a music scholarship to Bekhamsted at 11+.

2009
Scholarships were awarded to nine children in both 13+ and 11+ entrance exams. Awards were given for academic, music, artistic and sporting talent. These included the top academic awards to St Albans and Berkhamsted, as well as awards to Haileybury, Abbot’s Hill, St Columba’s and Millfield.
