Girls' Bushcraft Camping Trip 2018

Our eighth Year 5 & 6 Survival Trip went down an absolute storm, almost literally! Whilst Storm Bronagh blew our plans to camp overnight somewhat off-course the first night, this did not stop us enjoying the daytimes and our final night with gust(o)! 31 fabulously enthusiastic girls threw themselves into everything on offer, including a dramatically realistic wilderness survival scenario complete with a crashed Piper Cub aeroplane, streaks of fake blood on their three teacher casualties (Mrs Thomson, Mrs Brown and Remy) and smoke bombs-a-plenty! Once again, a very professional team from The Bushcraft Company delivered a high-quality Bushcraft learning experience to our girls, who had lots of fun and have definitely started the academic year as a close-knit group. The feedback on your children was excellent, too, with staff from last year spotting us and saying to James, our Camp Leader, “That’s a great school. The kids are lovely and really get stuck in!”. So parents, don’t be surprised if they yell ‘Blood Bubble’ whilst peeling the carrots, or wish to light next summer’s barbeque  for you using a flint and steel!
