Our U10a Netball team travelled to the amazing venue of Haileybury College. With 12 teams taking part in the annual netball tournament, we knew it was going to be a tough competition. We came 3rd in our pool of 6 teams; with 3 wins and 2 losses. We went into the plate competition confidently. It was an extremely close match against Heath Mount, resulting in a 2-1 win placing us in the final. Although the girls were thrilled to get to the final their nerves did set in! We went 1 nil down against a strong St Joseph’s team. With a risky change at half time, we saw Tabbie score an equaliser! With minutes to go, a strong defence kept the ball out of the danger zone and a steady attack took the ball to Phoebe where she scored in the last few seconds! A great come back, a brilliant competition and what excellent teamwork from the girls! Well done, the girls thoroughly deserved their medals and plate trophy.
