The Performing Arts Centre feels very empty without the wonderful dance, drama and music performances that would normally happen across the school and in order to get back some of that sparkle we are going to hold a whole school talent contest.
Everyone is invited to participate from Nursery to Year 8; acts of all kinds welcome. Can your child sing, dance, play a musical instrument, dazzle us with a magic trick, tell jokes or even come up with a dog agility routine. Tell the children to think big!
We would like the act to be filmed over half-term and submitted into this Dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/request/FWqjhhbRHkHinkfoH2Xz (Please read the help guide below) in the week commencing 22nd February. While the older children may be able to film themselves, parental help with the younger ones is hugely appreciated.
The first round will be completed in Form Groups, with the children watching all the videos submitted by their classmates over the course of the week of the 1st March. Each Form will then vote for their favourite two acts to go through to the Year Group Semi-Final; this will then lead into the final where one act from each Year Group will be vying to win the single top spot. More information about the semi-final and final will follow in due course.
We look forward to seeing the array of talent our children possess, there may even be one or two members of staff breaking out the karaoke machines.
