After finishing an undergraduate degree in Linguistics, Mrs Byron joined a Graduate Management Programme working in Hospitality. She soon realised that her love of linguistics far outweighed her love of working in hotels and returned to university to read Speech and Language Therapy. This provided opportunities to work throughout the UK and India in schools, universities, clinics and hospitals. Working in schools is what captured her interest and through the years led her to becoming an eternal student, returning to university several times to complete further qualifications in Speech and Language Therapy and qualifications in Specific Learning Difficulties and SEND. Mrs Byron has worked in independent schools in London, St Albans High School for Girls and before starting at Westbrook Hay, Ashfold School in Dorton.
