Westbrook Hay has appointed two Active Travel Ambassadors in support of Modeshift STARS.
We were delighted to welcome Shirley Clark, Hertfordshire Sustainable Travel Officer, to school on Thursday to meet our newly appointed Active Travel Ambassadors, Jaryd and Max. The boys were presented with their ATA badges, a pen, and a ‘Be Bright Be Seen’ key fob and learnt about their new duties. ATAs actively promote the school’s Green Travel Plan and encourage peer discussions about safe, healthy and sustainable travel and will be involved in the organisation of events held at school. They will represent pupils as members of the Modeshift Working Party and as Eco Warriors, they will represent Modeshift at Eco Warrior Committee Meetings.
Sarah Whitehead, Modeshift STARS Co-ordinator and Sav Ndau, Head of Geography and Eco Warriors joined Shirley, Jaryd and Max in their discussion.
