kids MBA

kids MBA

I am pleased to announce a partnership that Westbrook Hay is entering with ABE global.

ABE is an Ofqual regulated organisation that offers a ‘kids MBA’.  This is a 16-week course that has been run successfully internationally, over the last few years and has recently become available in the UK.  Westbrook Hay will be only the fourth school in the UK to offer the course, along with Marlborough College, Gresham’s and Exeter Cathedral School.  It matches perfectly our desire to offer a curriculum programme that celebrates the development of values, skills, attitudes and behaviours required for children to succeed and flourish in our ever-changing world.

The course is a certificated qualification that teaches business and entrepreneurship.  It includes modules such as business ideas and USP, copyright and patents, business finance and pitching to investors – all delivered in an age appropriate style. As a global programme, the kidsMBA will give us the opportunity to connect our children with learners worldwide who are undertaking the same learning experience.  The children can potentially compete in inter-school international competitions, for example.

It is likely that the course will be led by myself and that it will be run, in school time, from January to July.  Initially we are going to run this course during Year 8, starting in January 2022 with our current Year 7.

Please feel free to find out more about the qualification by browsing the parent guide brochure attached to this link.
