On the 27th January Years 1 / 2 children who participate in LAMDA classes performed their individual and group poems to their parents in a special assembly. All the children were wonderful, remembering their poems and reciting them with confidence and expression, for five, six and seven year olds and as a first time event, the performances were remarkable.
On Wednesday 29th January Years 3 / 4 LAMDA children performed to parents in an after school Performance showcase. The children all showed their considerable talents on their own and in year groups. Everyone without exception engaged with the audience and proved how talented they were.
On Monday 3rd February Years 5/6/7/8 performed to their parents in the last LAMDA showcase. The children performed poems, monologues and duologues from the LAMDA syllabus, not an easy task for some but they participated well and were brilliant. So proud of all the children it was a wonderful evenings entertainment! Roll on the next one!
It was remarkable to see 140 children, who just a few months ago were shy and reticent, stand on the stage in our Performing Arts Centre and perform in front of all the parents with such confidence.
