Today we join the nation in remembrance of those who have died during the coronavirus crisis in the past year. This tribute has been organised by the end-of-life charity Marie Curie. As part of our commemoration, the Former Pupil Association have donated these two cherry trees to the school. We know that sadly we have lost some of our former pupils to this disease and we are very much thinking of them today. The cherry trees should blossom each year during the anniversary of this date and are hopefully visible from the dining room.
Both the Pre-Prep and the Prep School pupils spent a moment of reflection today, thinking about some of the people who have been poorly or even passed away, family who we have been unable to see, but also thinking about some of the people who have helped during the pandemic.
We must also thank the children who did a tremendous job helping to plant the trees!
