We had an enormously successful turnout for our Bag2School drive, with huge bags of unwanted clothes being generously donated by so many Westbrook Hay families. You may have seen the very large pile of bags that grew steadily larger between Wednesday and Friday this week, under the stairs at the entrance to the PAC. The Bags2School driver commented to Mr Martin that the pile was much larger than last year’s, estimating that we had collected around 700kgs of clothing.
All clothing collected by Bag2School is sold, either sorted or un-sorted, to importers and wholesalers in many countries of Eastern and Western Europe, Africa and Asia, and the money that we raised will go to help Playskill, or chosen charity for this year.
