Westbrook Hay entered three teams into the annual DT Tournament that is organised by the Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted Rotary Club and held at Ashlyns School. The teams had to design and engineer a flashing beacon. Creativity, teamwork, resilience, time management and adaptability were key attributes that our Year 8 boys brought to the task and I am pleased and proud of all the boys. As a result we achieved both 1st and 2nd place in the Foundation level task. Each member received a £20 voucher as a reward and due course the school will receive the winner’s trophy.
