We were overwhelmed by the performances of our youngest children this week. We held our first House Poetry Recital competition with children from Nursery to Year 8 taking part. All pupils were asked to learn a poem from our extensive anthologies and the final had performances of the best from across the year groups. The Pre-Prep event was absolutely incredible with children as young as 3 appearing on stage and reciting a poem which they had learnt off by heart. The children used gesture, expression and intonation to bring their poems to life. It was wonderful to see so many children have the courage to compete in this and also show support and togetherness for their classmates.
