This week we hosted the annual schools’ x-country meeting, with over 200 athletes from the ages of 8 – 13 competing. On the day we enjoyed true x-country weather – rain, wind and cold! Our teams competed valiantly and I was very proud of all their efforts. Oli B, Archie F and Josh M just missed out on the medals received by the top 3 in each age group while there were also excellent runs from Emma R, Will M, Oli M, Charlie W and Will C. Stealing the show for us however was Angel C and Maya D who both finished 2nd in their respective age groups. Everyone present was impressed with the quality of the running on show from the leaders but equally the determination of those further back in the field to finish as strongly as they could.
