Today, Year 3 had a really interesting day deepening their knowledge of soils. They began with identifying the four elements - water, air, humus (not the kind you eat with cucumber but bits of decaying insects and leaves) and rock! They then used these ingredients to "make" their own soil. As you can imagine, they came back very muddy!
