Trip to Lords Cricket

Trip to Lords Cricket

A group of boys and girls in Years 5 to 8 enjoyed a fantastic day out at Lords Cricket Ground - ‘The Home of Cricket’.

We watched Middlesex and Kent battle it out in the T20 Blast, with some top international talent on display - the likes of Zak Crawley and Sam Billings.  Kent struggled their way to 141, losing wickets at regular intervals, before Middlesex surged to victory in the 18th over thanks to a partnership between Cracknell and Simpson.

The children loved every second - especially the pyrotechnics - and even made it onto the big screen at the ground! We also managed to have a look at the real Ashes Urn in the Lords Museum.

They all left wanting more, and I’m sure they’ll all be reenacting the sixes and wickets for the rest of the cricket term and beyond!
