The U13A Girls’ Cricket team travelled to Haileybury for the County Cup.
12 girls travelled to Haileybury for the U13 County Cup where 10 schools were competing for the title. Captain Izzy prepared the team perfectly and led from the front with some fine batting and bowling. She was supported with some great ball striking from Elsa, Mea and Lucia. With the ball, Eleanor, Isobel, Kasi, Poppy and Merel impressed. Our all-rounders were very important and Sophie and Maggie played a big part. Emily showed great concentration and was very consistent as wicket-keeper.
We lost to the eventual winners, Haileybury, but were competitive in all other fixtures. This was a great experience for the girls and we now look forward to hosting the U11 girls county tournament next week.
