Voices of the Holocaust visit

Voices of the Holocaust, perform their thought-provoking play “Kindness”

We are honoured to have hosted ‘Voices of the Holocaust’ theatre company to mark Holocaust Memorial Day. They led workshops with our Senior pupils and performed their play ‘Kindness’, based on the true stories of Holocaust survivors. The play was followed by a Q&A session with the writer, director, and actors. Our pupils were deeply moved and inspired by this unique and powerful way of learning about history. To find out more about this amazing project, visit www.voicesoftheholocaust.org.uk

‘Voices of the Holocaust’ is the only Holocaust theatre company and education charity in Europe. They work with the Association of Jewish Refugees and other partners to bring plays and workshops to schools and communities across the UK. They have been nominated for several awards, including the International Simon Wiesenthal Prize, for their dedication to Holocaust education. Their play ‘Kindness’ has reached over 25,000 pupils in more than 100 schools since its premiere in 2022.

‘Kindness’ is a verbatim play based on the testimony of Susan, a Hungarian survivor who was sent to Auschwitz at 13. The play also features the love story of Mala and Edek, two prisoners who resisted the Nazis with courage and compassion. ‘Kindness’ is a beautiful and empowering play that touches the hearts and minds of its audience.
