Westbrook Hay win at the Rotary Design & Technology Tournament
Twelve Year 8 pupils attended the annual Rotary Design and Technology Tournament at Ashlyns School. This year’s challenge involved delivering a ‘Shelter Box’ containing emergency supplies to a country facing extreme difficulties. The pupils’ task was to build a functioning cable car to transport the supplies across a crocodile-infested river. All three teams successfully demonstrated excellent teamwork, engineering and problem-solving skills. Well done Mac, James, Matthew and Jonah who came first at the foundation level.
